Using neuroscience, physiology, psychology, and yoga to help kids thrive is my jam.
Mindful Moving Kids is the program I created after working for over 13 years as a school psychologist, recognizing that my personal yoga practice benefitted my mental health and wellness, and wanting to share those benefits with the kids I work with.
In 2018, I became a certified yoga instructor, in order to combine that knowledge with my expertise in learning theory, children's mental health, and neuroscience. I've taught MMK classes in schools, yoga studios, private homes, and virtually since then.
Mindful Moving Kids On Demand is a way for this programming to reach all kids, and helps educators incorporate mindfulness and physical activities that align with SEL foundations into every school day.
The short-format of the videos ensure that they can be utilized anytime a class needs a brain break or shift in energy, and they are categorized so educators can access the type of lesson they need in the moment - making MMK On Demand a flexible, needs-based solution for every elementary classroom.
